Pectoral Enlargement for men of Male Pectoral Implant |
General information about pectoral augmentation for menPectoral implants are cosmetic chest wall implants designed to enhance the chest. Average males, bodybuilders, and patients with chest abnormalities use pectoral implants about equally. Pectoral implants are inserted through an axillary incision and are held in place by the overlying pectoralis muscle. Men are usually proud of having a well-developed chest. More than any other part of the non-sexual anatomy, the chest seems to say "man." It sometimes happens, however, that no matter how much time is spent in the gym, the muscles of the chest do not reach the desired appearance. That can be helped by placing silicone implants under the chest muscles.
The operation is done under complete anesthesia. An incision is made within the armpit and a space is created over the ribs and under the pectoralis major muscle (the "pecs"). Depending upon the amount of enlargement desired, the muscle may have to be detached from its insertion at the edge of the breast bone (the sternum). The implant is then inserted and the chest is thereby enlarged.
The usual risks of infection and misplacement are of minor concern, but the pressure of the implant may cause the normal chest muscle to atrophy as it does in women when breast implants are placed below the muscle.
A beautiful, strong chest: the dream of every man.
Men frequently find that even with exercise, they are unable to achieve the chest development that they desire. This had led to the demand for the operation known as pectoral implantation.
The operation is useful for men with less than normal chest development or for men who are simply unable to achieve the chest size they desire with maximum exercise. It can also be used for men with underdevelopment of the muscles of one side of the chest.
The surgeryThe operation is performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia with intravenous sedation. The surgery involves an incision in the armpit. Through this incision, implants are inserted beneath the chest muscles. At the Wellness Kliniek, the preferred method is through the endoscopic approach, using telescopes and video cameras to assure precise dissection with minimal risk of bleeding for infection.
The implants are made in various sizes out of a no leak silicone rubber.
The goal of the procedure is to achieve a natural-looking contour of the male chest. The implants are held in place by the overlying pectoralis muscle. The muscle function itself is not disturbed.
The recoveryPatients should anticipate considerable soreness for the first few days after surgery. It will take a week or so to resume normal activity and full activity is restricted for up to six weeks.
