General informationMany people long to be free of wrinkles. And a variety of treatments exist for wrinkle removal (wrinkle treatment). One very effective and almost entirely painless method for treating wrinkles is the injection of a special liquid under the skin (1 of the possibillities of wrinkle treatment ). A number of products are available for 'filling out' wrinkles; the effect of some lasts for a few months, while others can in principle bring about permanent change. Effective wrinkle therapy generally requires several sessions of treatment, at intervals varying from a few weeks to a few months. In this way, it is possible to gently fill out your wrinkles.
AquamidAquamid is a completely transparent gel, consisting of 97.5 per cent water and 2.5 per cent polyacrylamide (the material that soft contact lenses are made of). Aquamid has been in use for ten years; tests have shown that it is a very effective and safe facial correction product.
The product has a variety of applications:
- The treatment brow lines, deep upper lip furrows and drooping mouth corners
- Filling out the lips
- Correcting scars or irregularities caused by acne
- Enhancing the cheekbones, chin or forehead
- Other facial corrections
Unlike the other injectable products available, the effects of Aquamid treatment are in principle permanent after one or two sessions during a wrinkle treatment.
